Fan Art Friday: Arale from Dr.Slump by Akira Toriyama, Sheridan and Jason from Fruit Machine by Mimi-Evelyn, Botan from Yu Yu Hakusho by Yoshiro Togashi and Kanjiyama Mime from Nihongo Quick Lesson by NHK

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! I hope you're all having a brilliant week and a brilliant month. As this is the last day of January. I thought I'd show you four fan arts. All of these fan arts were pencil sketches and then colour was added on Photoshop.

The first fan art if of Arale from the manga Dr.Slump by Akira Toriyama. I started reading the first volume this week and it left me laughing a lot. This comic was first published in Japan in 1980, Then published in English in the mid 2000's. I've drawn Arale slightly older but she still looks quite nice. I'm quite impressed of it:

The next fan art is of Jason and Sheridan from the comic Fruit Machine by Mimi-Evelyn. I decided to draw as astronauts. This is the drawing that would have been showed on January 10. This is the second fan art that is based on the christmas drawing that I created in December. I am impressed with what I've done, but I find it quite surprising that I tackled a science theme:

The next fan art is of Botan from Yu Yu Hakusho by Yoshihiro Togashi. I remember reading this series back in 2007. The series is brilliant and I have a lot of compassion from the main character Yusuke and some of his friends. He goes through a lot of challenges but still shows himself strong. I've already read volume 12, and I'll be hoping to read the next volume so soon. I might even draw my favourite character from the manga soon. I've also watched the anime which is really good. The English dub is really good and I have yet to watch the original:

The fourth and final fan art for today is of Kanjiyama Mime from a segment called 'Feel it, Grab it' in a programme called Nihongo Quick Lesson by NHK. I watched this series back in 2009 on NHK World  I really miss watching this show because when I began studying Japanese, I always watched the show to gather a much more understanding of the language. Kanjiyama Mime, mimes words and says it in Japanese. He does this really well and I'm always impressed and amazed. I salute NHK for creating this series because it proved to make much help when studying. I've drawn him from memory. So it could be slightly wrong:

The will be more fan art next week. Thank you for visiting my blog and please leave a comment. Enjoy your weekend.

Fan Art Friday: Yu-gi-oh by Kazuki Takahashi and Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi Show by Sam Register

Happy Fan art Friday everyone! Today I'll be showing two fan arts. One of the drawings was as a green pencil sketch the other was inked in 0.5 black pen then it evolved to a digital drawings on Photoshop.

The first Fan Art is of the cartoon Hi Hi PuffyAmiYumi Show by Sam Register. It was shown on Cartoon Network. This was an awesome series that I watched back in my mid teens. it was a brilliant series and I found it fascinating that there was a cartoon based on a famous Japanese group duo. Another thing that I found great was the songs that were played by the duo. It was really awesome and I was left engaged. Lastly they were mini scenes where you would see PuffyAmiYumi on tour, that was cool.  Within the end of each episode the Cartoon network sign was written in katakana before it quickly translated into English. This was another part of the show that I thought was really impressive:

The second and final fan art for today is of Yu-Gi-OH by Kazuki Takahashi. There was a previous drawing that I did of Yugi Motou and the pharaoh which is view in split form. I thought that it would be awesome to create a digital drawing on Photoshop. I'm still waiting to read the next volume of Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist. It's taking a bit long but it's okay. I'll keep on waiting:

There will be more Fan Art next week. Have a great week and make the most of it. Thank you for visiting my blog and please leave a comment! (^_^)

Dark and Light Story 3: Letcia's Heartbreak

Hello everyone, sometime last year I mentioned that there will be another Dark and Light Story. This one is based on the Manga Jiman comic entry that I entered last year. I got the results last week and unfortunately I was not part of the shortlist. As a result of this, the comic entry will be part of a web-comic that I'll be showing sometime this year. The Dark and light Story that I'll be showing here is the first part of the story. It reveals Leticia and Cain are celebrating their One Year anniversary of being a couple.  I'll be tacking this first part again and there will be slight changes when I create the web-comic.

In case you would like to see the initial sketches for the comic entry that I entered last year click here. Here it is:

Since this is the third Dark and Light Story that I created and you would like to see the previous two Dark and Light Stories, click here for the first and here for the second.
I'll be be creating another Dark and Light Story sometime this year.

Fan Art Friday: King Rollo and Queen Gwen by David McKee

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! Today I'll be showing only one fan art today. This fan art was created using Photoshop.

Today's fan art is of the cartoon King Rollo by David Mckee. As I've mentioned in my last post he's an Illustrator and is also the creator of Mr Benn. King Rollo is another cartoon that appeared in the 1980's. However I watched the series in the early 2000's. Although the stories were short I quite like them and I also loved the music too. King Rollo is seen here with Queen Gwen. I am aware that his clothes are not the same as it's seen in the cartoon. This is because I drew this from memory:

There will be more fan art next week. Thanks for visiting my blog and please leave a comment.

Fan Art Friday: Mr Benn by David McKee and Professor Hershel Layton and Luke

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone. Today I'll be showing two fan arts. Both of them were created earlier this week. They were previously pencil sketches then change on Photoshop.

The first fan art is of Mr Benn by the illustrator David McKee. This was also another old cartoon from the 70's but I go to watch this during the 90's and again the in early 2000's. The narrator is Ray Brooks. it's a great series. It about a gentleman who goes into a costume shop and changes into a particular costume in the shop and goes through another door that leads into an adventure. The shopkeeper tends to appear out of the blue in the shop and also within the world that Mr Benn has entered. Something else happens towards the end, but I'll leave that for you to find out:

The second and final fan art for today is of Professor Layton and Luke. I'm sure most of you are aware of where they are from but in case you don't one of the games that they are from is from Pandora's Box. Which was created by a company called Level-5 Inc.  I own a Nintendo DS and I bought Professor Layton and Pandora's Box a couple of weeks back. It has a range of puzzles that you would need to solve in order for the story plot to move on. Some of them are easy and some are quite complex. The plot of the game is very interesting and I highly recommend you to have a look. There are many more games in the Professor Layton series which are available as well as a movie. I highly
recommend you to have a look out of the games as well as the movie (^_~):

There were more fan art that I created during the week. They will be shown next week. Enjoy the week end and make the most of it. (^_^)

Fan Art Friday: Krillin, Android 18 and Marron from Dragonball Z by Akira Toriyama

Happy New Year Happy January and Happy Fan Art Friday! I'll be showing only one Fan Art drawing today. This fan art was created using a quadruple colouring pencil, then colour was on Photoshop.

Today's fan art is of Krillin Android 18 and Marron from Dragonball Z by Akira Toriyama. Krillin finally gets someone and surprisingly it was some one who was the enemy. She turn good though. I can't say where there though. For those who have already watch DBZ should know when. Even Goku was surprised. I quite like Android 18 she was one of the second women of whom I knew that can fight and she can fight really really well. (^_^)  On the other hand I'm quite impressed with this picture:

There will be more fan art next week. I hope to show more fan art than just one. One of the fan arts will be revealed within the next five days from now on my DeviantArt page. I hope you'll all have a brilliant month, make it count and make the most of it too. ^_^
