Obsession Project PART 1&2

In this project I have been asked to choose an obsession and make a story from it. An obsession is something that you would think about most of the time. I went to the Tate Modern to look at some artists who express there obsession with their work. The three artists that I chose was Anish Kapoor, Clause Monet and Fernand Leger. Next I commenced this project by making a list of the things that I like and what I think about and chose three; these were:

Happiness/Innocence,
Cartoons: Disney,Pixar, Studio GhibliHistori
cal Clothing of the Past
I then chose one obsession from the three (Happiness/Innocence) and created a story. The plot was about me and my father reading a book which was about a Prince call
ed Belshazzar who had to get his mother's violet and silver brouche from his evil Un
cle Leon. As the book reaches a cliff-hanger, my father departs to make some food and try to th
ink about how the story would end. Within minutes I drift into the book itself and find his
cousin Princess Debbie, who would need my help to save him.....

After writing the plot, I started sketching the basis of the story, the images all together make thirty-seven. The real images were drawn onto cartridge and water-colour paper. Next, I will photocopy these drawings and copy them onto a new sheets of paper. There is a likely chance that I will use water colour paper. The originals will be kept and shown for the exhibition that will be held next year.

Here are first few of the drawings that I am going to use:

These two drawings will be fused together to make one image.

Dark and Light Project

This was the next brief that I have been working on a few weeks ago. The task was to chose one of the five images that have been chosen by the teacher and create a 11 page story using the selected image, as the middle. I chose the Metropolitan Police image, which was focused with two hands on a gun. Each hand belong to a male and female.

I created a story that is set in the 1930's the main four characters were sketched first:

I will not explain what happens, because I feel that it is better for the viewer (The person who is looking at the images) to decide what happens.

Here they

1000 Drawing Project

This project was about making about 1000 drawings from any real objects. The drawings should not be imaginary and the objects should be drawn up to no more than 30 minutes. I managed to create at least over 220 drawings. It was quite difficult at first to draw so much, plus after long while it became boring...... I was impressed with the results of what I did and I knew that it could have been a lot better if I have pushed myself further.

Here are a few of the drawing that I have produced:

With the images that I have drawn I have to choose 25 to put into a book. Three publishing websites were chosen to pick in order for  the book to be published. I chose blurb.com, on this site I had to get a software, to design the book. This it is called Booksmart. The only thing that I have to do now is to order the book.

Imagined Record Collection Part 4

Since I have not produced enough work for this project, I have chosen to make another 4 album covers with a poster. I chose to look at some more jazz albums in order to get some more inspiration.

Here are the four completed album covers:

Thriller Project and 'The Conversation' Project

The Thriller project took place for just one day. The class were asked to illustrate the lyrics to thriller. This proved to be a big succes for me and I seemed to have enjoyed working on large sheets of paper.

Here is one of the first images where I have used inks black and blue...I next moved on to illustrate headlines which were from the metro newspaper:

As a result of this, I chose to do six A1 images for 'The Conversation' project. I took six photos of various people who were within a conversation and used black acrylic paint with water to create a water colour effect. I also attached the original photos next to the images.:
