(^o^)14th Day Christmas Pictures!(^_^)

As a lead-up to my 25th birthday, I decided that every month on the 14th, I will create and post an image on my blog, this will be based on what comes to mind, what I have seen from the first week, on TV, DVD's or places that I have been around London. This month I have chosen to create a Christmas drawing since it will be next week where Christmas will finally arrive. It's of a drawing of an angel that lives on top of the tree and meets another ornament which has floated around the house. (You'll probably realise this already or not but the ornament or the right reminds me of Steve Jobs in his younger days.... He didn't really come to mind while I was drawing this picture but as I coloured the image, I saw a bit of a resemblance.) This image is in water-colour paints and inked in black ink:

The next drawing is a Secret Santa for a particular forum member on a website called Sweatdrop. This forum member has a web comic called FanDanGo that begun in 2009 and is still going today. She is part of a group called Indie Manga and has created some great comics so far. Since she is a fan of Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle, I decided to do a fan art of this series. It's written by a five female manga artists called CLAMP, where each of them create various fragments for one series. They are also the artist who create one of my favourite manga, called xxxholic. It's a different story however it's a cross-over of Tsubasa and the same scenes in Tsubasa are portrayed quite differently in this comic. The main characters are drawn in Christmas clothes:

The final drawing, is a another fan-art for Deb Marlowe. This is another retrospective picture of two brothers (Charles and Jack) who have found their love (Sophie and Lily) in two of the authour's books. (Scandelous Lord, Rebellious Miss and Her Cinderella Season) It's has a Christmas theme and I was inspired by visiting The Museum of London. As usual I visited the Pleasure Garden's section of the Museum and sketched the clothes with an orange coloured pencil. When I got home I inked and used water colour paints the drawing. Towards the end of this week, the image will be sent to Deb:

On a side note, I created this impressionist drawing of myself to celebrate my 24th birthday last month, I've abandoned black in this drawing and used blue. Also I portrayed myself wearing my Front of House uniform that I wear at work:

Stained Glass Pastel Drawings and something new to share! (^_^)

Hi Everyone,

My apologies for the long hiatus, I've been busy finding a new job. Although I work as an event steward, I'm hoping to find something else that will be useful with books and also with the Illustrations that I produced.

At during these past months I worked at the Hampton Court
Palace Flower Show. I produced some line art drawings which of course lacked light and tone. These sketches were a starting point of something new and exciting. Originally these sketches would transform into A4 format of coloured inked drawings.

But this drastically transformed into pastel drawings on one Saturday where I watched a show called 'Art Attack', where the presenter Neil Buchanan, drew a fairy on blue paper using white chalk. It was then I decided to look through my room and find the black sheet of paper and pastel set that I bought a while back to produce the next stage of the the sketches.

The first one is a fan art from Deb Marlowe's second novel 'An Improper Aristocrat'. If features
the main protagonist Nial and Chione, in a fixed embrace position. The changes that I created for this composition is the spirals and the extended hair of Nial. Here is the sketch and the A3 piece:

The next sketch and picture has a gardening theme. Inspired by the place that I was working, I drew out a girl within an array of flowers:

The third one that I sketch and drew was of a female Joker. The idea came to mind on a bus ride home from work. The song that I was listening to was a track called 'You' It's by a band called Take That. It's featured on their album 'The Circus' which I think is a brilliant album.

I with this pin-up that I drew I hope to create a manga with the character. Hopef
ully before November if not then it will be a novel with illustrations. The story hasn't come to mind yet but I have a feeling something will come up. A vague difference with these two images is that her eyes are smaller than the sketch:

Lastly the project that I am working on now will be something that I am really excited about. Here are a few character designs of the female villain. I had to draw her more than once basically because I was not satisfied with the first one I drew. Also it has some similarities of some of the female characters of DC comics and Marvel:

Late February to Late March

During the end of February to the end of this month I have been reading a lot of historical fiction watch some music videos and working on a project for a company that works woth youths from a young age until early twenties.

The first batch of drawings were loosely inspired by a historical romance novel called 'Gallant Officer, Forbidden Lady' by a well known Romance novelist Diane Gaston. This is in fact the second time that I have been inspired by this novelist's work and I can honestly say what drew me, to this novel was that the main protagonist Jack Vernon. He most certainly had a great and extraordinary mind to be an artist. His mind were always filled with everlasting images of a certain war that occurred within the novel. This was the first war, that left him with open scars of hatred and pain not only to his soul but also on one of the characters of which I won't mention. You'll have to read the book to find out. I admired him so much that he even went to the extent of recording what he visualised and pouring them into the cup of pages of his sketchbook. His studio were filled with mountains of sketchbooks.
This novel really did give me interest of Gaston as an auth
or and I will certainly keep up to date with her books.

Here are the drawings that inspired me while reading the book:

Coloured inks were used to add colour into the drawings.

These two drawing were modified on Photoshop. The first one takes reference to a camera photo on my old phone. As for the second drawing, it was derived from
a walk home after creating a batch full of drawings my mind began to sing some lyrics to a very popular song that was released this year. These were the lyrics: "So just put your hands, on me on skinny jeans, be your teenage dreams tonight" My mind then began to play the second drawing which is featured before your eyes right now.

These last two drawings were created from pastels, one which is of a gentleman in regency clothing and the other is of a fictional character called Wizadora, from my childhood:

The final task that I have been working on is a storyboard and character studies for a film for my client. So far the majority of the characters have been completed and I am
still working on the storyboard:

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day, for those who celebrate it. I've been drawing this month and I have been inspired by stained glass windows and also different variations of bedrooms:

This first drawing is for a competition which is being held on Deviantart. It is loosely based on forbidden love between an angel and a devil. I was advised to create something as safe, so this is what I have thought of. I am absolutely amazed with the results and it quite inspiring to see something such as this to look so cool.

For this drawing, I researched some bedrooms to make sure that the chosen theme will fit the setting that I was asked to do. I was commissioned to create something that fulfil the client's specifications, I hope that the person will like it.
Plus this is the second version of the drawing, the first one looked quite boring.

Finally I created this drawing, since I have never done a person with a lolita dress. Once this was completed, I realised that it resembles my friend Tina. So I sent her a copy, via e-mail.
I used Photoshop and created a pattern stamp for the dress:

Happy New Year!

I created a few drawings to start off the new year. One of them is a picture for the new year where the guy is wearing a cliché clothing for a prince. The remaining three were for The Escapist characters Parfaite and another character called Eliza who is the mother of Kylan. She isn't seen until chapter three.
