Saturday Drawings for Clients! A Beach House Drawing & Sisters Portrait :D

Greetings Everyone!

Here are the drawings that I should have posted last week. Both of them were created from Photoshop. The first drawing was for a work colleague who asked me to create a beach house by the sea. She asked me to make this drawing as a way of how I can activate my creativity. There were a lot of difficulties making this drawing, it took me a week and a couple of sleepless nights but I was very glad with the results. Sent the drawing to my work colleague and really liked it.
 Here the beach house drawing:

The second and final saturday drawing for today is of portraits of sisters. The client sent me two photos of her and her sister. I made the one initial sketch of both of these drawings and sent the drawings to her through her e-mail. When she looked at both of these drawings she asked for a couple of changes. In the drawings that were show to her, the background had Christmas symbols. They were changed to kanji characters which mean, family, younger sister, older sister and love.
Here is the sisters portrait drawing:

I hope you are enjoying the last few days before 2015 begins. Make the most of it and make it memorable.  \<(*^o^*)>/

Fan Art Friday: Rufus and Flook by Wally Fawkes and Hetta Hartcase by InkyRose and Leon by Myself

Happy December and Happy Fan Art Friday! There will be two drawings that I will be showing today. Both of them are Christmas themed.

The fist fan is of Rufus and Flook from the comic-strip called Flook by Trog. During this year I had the chance to listen to music based on Flook by Wally Fawkes and his group of friends. Also there are daily strips which are shown on Facebook. In this drawing, I yearned to do something different. They are quite different to what they are were last year. This time there are playing trumpet and a clarinet. :

The second and final drawing for today is a Christmas competition entry of the characters Hetta Hartcase and Leon. The aim of the competition was to choose a character that you have made and pair the character with a character from the detective series. I thought that it would be great to pair Leon with Hetta. Leon is the middle triplet of Aunt Rebecca and is someone who is yet to be seen in the web-comic. but he is someone who can deal with people emotionally and mentally. There are a lot of furniture that is seen from the 1920's. Thought that it would be great to see some references. You can have a look at the drawing in more detail by clicking here. Also to see more information about the competition you can click here. Here's the drawing:

The fan art will be shown next week will be christmas themed. This will las until christmas day. Thank you for visiting and please leave a comment.

Fan Art Friday: Strawberry,Chocolate, Carlos and Sakura by Joanna Zhou, Cream, Geraldine, Ewan, Lee, and Jill from Cafe Suda by Jade Sarson and Rufus and Flook by Wally Fawkes

Seasons Greetings to you all and Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! I hope you're all having a brilliant time this month and are making the most of it during this festive season. Today I'll be showing three fan arts two of them have been created using coloured inks and the third one has been created using Photoshop. Since I yearned to be in the Christmas Spirit, these fan arts are seasonal and I hope you'll like them.

The first fan art is from the webcomic Cafe Suada by Jade Sarson. It's a brilliant series and I've read it surprisingly amounts of times online this year as well as late last year. The character in the middle is called Cream is my favourite character in the series. She's a character of whom I think would be very very interesting to talk to over tea. The next favourite character of whom I think is awesome is Geraldine on the top right. She is very significant in the comic but I would love for you to read it. If you love tea or coffee or BOTH, please check out this webcomic. Plus if you like what you see and would love to buy the comic click here Also have a look at Jade's DA too.:

The next fan are of the manga Chocoberry and Carlos and Sakura by Joanna Zhou These characteres are Chocolate Strawberry (The two koalas above and Carlos (the hedghog) and Sakura (the rabbit) These two are in a manga called Harajuku Zoo as well as their own mini series 'Carlos and Sakura. If there is one thing that I can say about Joanna Zhou's comics are that they are very funny. The Carlos and Sakura series is very funny too. She's also a Graphic Designer and a Illustrator.  I thought I create these characters having a snowball fight:

The final fan art for today is of Flook and Rufus from the comic strip Flook. It's by the artist and jazz musician Wally Fawkes who is also known as Trog. Rufus is the boy and Flook is the creature next to him. Earlier this year, there was a exhibition at the Cartoon Musuem about Wally and his friend Humphrey Lyttelton. Both of them draw and and well know musicians within the 20th Century. This was indeed a great exhibiton and a interesting retrospective. I thought I'd draw these two in suits to fit the season:

There will be more fan art next week. Thank you for visiting and please leave a comment!

Fan Art Friday: Len and Raine from DNA by CowgirlEm and Usagi and Mamoru-Chan from Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeguchi

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! I hope you're all having a brilliant week so far and are making good and great plans for the Christmas holidays. As I mentioned int last week's Fan Art Friday post. The drawings that will be shown from now until 27th will be Christmas themed. This is because I'm currently in the Christmas mood. Also I'm going to make a habit make each fan art character in historical clothes. Today I'll be showing two fan art drawings. These drawings were created with a light lilac coloured pencil and coloured inks.

I have added a boarder that I created on Photoshop  to add effect. It didn't take a while to make.

The first fan art is of Len and Raine from the webcomic and manga DNA which is known as DeoxyRiboNuclearAnarchy by CowgirlEm. This was the third DNA fan art that I created after the previous two. Since this one was suited for Christmas so I thought I add coloured inks to it. I'm quite pleased of what has come out:

The last and final fan art for today is of Usagi and Mamoru-chan from Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeguchi. The drawing is okay I guess but I felt the least I could do was post this up. The border was added and this made the drawing stand out a whole lot more. I will be creating more Sailor Moon fan art, whenever necessary. I ADORE this manga and I hope to add it to my collection at some point. I'm just not so sure when:

There will be more Christmas fan art next week. Thanks for visiting my blog and please leave a comment.

Happy December! First Xmas Pics!

Hi everyone and happy December! Today as promised I'll be showing you some Christmas pictures. Today I'll show three. These pictures were created about three years ago. All of these were created using watercolour paints orange pencils and Photoshop. The reasons as to why I chose to create these drawings is because I yearned to be in the xmas spirit.:

The last image that is seen here will be part of a Christmas Card. It's part of the Holiday Card Project that Deviantart are currently doing. I'll be sending it on Monday. It took a while to finish but it seems to be a success. Two of the people in this drawing are based on random people of whom I saw on the street and on the bus. The woman on the right was the person that I saw on the bus with her daughter. The guy on the lower right was someone I saw on the way home from work:

I did create some pastel drawings that are based on the Christmas theme a couple of years ago. If you would like to have a look then please click here. Thank you for visiting my blog. Please leave a comment.

Snow Story from Late 2012

Hello Everyone, sorry for the long hiatus. I felt pretty bad for not posting up any work so to make up for lost time I decided to post up what I did throughout late November and December. This is a Short nineteen page story about three characters from a comic that I made up back in 2009. These three girls Rae (frizzy hair), Demi (short hair) and Angie (long hair) decided to do something fun and exciting during the Christmas Period. Although in London it did not snow but in areas of the world were filled with snow, I felt that the least I could do was do a snow story. It is inked in monochromatic blue drawing in and the outline in 0.7 fine blue pen. Here are the first twelve images:

Here are the remaining nine images:

There will be a continuation of the story. This one will be based on Rae's friend Angie and a particular period of the past. This will be shown hopefully if it snows in London. I assume that it would be in February because it is during this month that it gets much much colder.

(^o^)14th Day Christmas Pictures!(^_^)

As a lead-up to my 25th birthday, I decided that every month on the 14th, I will create and post an image on my blog, this will be based on what comes to mind, what I have seen from the first week, on TV, DVD's or places that I have been around London. This month I have chosen to create a Christmas drawing since it will be next week where Christmas will finally arrive. It's of a drawing of an angel that lives on top of the tree and meets another ornament which has floated around the house. (You'll probably realise this already or not but the ornament or the right reminds me of Steve Jobs in his younger days.... He didn't really come to mind while I was drawing this picture but as I coloured the image, I saw a bit of a resemblance.) This image is in water-colour paints and inked in black ink:

The next drawing is a Secret Santa for a particular forum member on a website called Sweatdrop. This forum member has a web comic called FanDanGo that begun in 2009 and is still going today. She is part of a group called Indie Manga and has created some great comics so far. Since she is a fan of Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle, I decided to do a fan art of this series. It's written by a five female manga artists called CLAMP, where each of them create various fragments for one series. They are also the artist who create one of my favourite manga, called xxxholic. It's a different story however it's a cross-over of Tsubasa and the same scenes in Tsubasa are portrayed quite differently in this comic. The main characters are drawn in Christmas clothes:

The final drawing, is a another fan-art for Deb Marlowe. This is another retrospective picture of two brothers (Charles and Jack) who have found their love (Sophie and Lily) in two of the authour's books. (Scandelous Lord, Rebellious Miss and Her Cinderella Season) It's has a Christmas theme and I was inspired by visiting The Museum of London. As usual I visited the Pleasure Garden's section of the Museum and sketched the clothes with an orange coloured pencil. When I got home I inked and used water colour paints the drawing. Towards the end of this week, the image will be sent to Deb:

On a side note, I created this impressionist drawing of myself to celebrate my 24th birthday last month, I've abandoned black in this drawing and used blue. Also I portrayed myself wearing my Front of House uniform that I wear at work:

Pastel Drawings (Merry Christmas Everyone!)

Two days ago I felt the inspiration to do some drawings. The first drawing were I was inspired by one of the characters from Diane Gaston Christmas novel:

The next pastel drawing is of a female dandy:

The next pastel drawing is of a wintery feel:

An Element of two Eras, Tudor and Regency:

A couple kissing under a large mistletoe:

Lastly a response to the first image:

To anyone who visits my blog, I would like to wish you all a great Christmas and an awesome new year.
