Head Casts On the Last Week of February

Hello Everyone! I thought that I'll show you some head casts that I did at the V&A Museum in South Kensington. I did about nine sketches of male and female sketches. Some are in black ink and there are also some in red ink. I hope you like what I've done here:

I'll try and make the effort to make more of these as well as other objects. I really enjoyed creating these sketches.

Fan Art Friday: Tien and Chaozu from Dragonball and Dragonball Z by Akira Toriyama, Sailor Uranus from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeuchi, Yotsuba&! by Kiyohiko Azuma and Kazuya Kujo and Victorique de Blois from Gosick by Kazuki Sakuraba (^_^)

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the month of February so far. My apologies if I haven't posted up anything throughout this month. There are things that I'm hoping to show you soon. It will be up. Today I'll be posting four fan arts. All of them were all pencil sketches, the colour was added on Photoshop.

The first fan art is of Tien and Chaozu from Dragonball and also from Dragonball Z. This week I have just finished reading volume 11 of Dragonball and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The arrival of these two characters and how they came into the series intrigued me and I was really amazed how Tien's passion to complete the battle that he's again Goku during the Boudokai Tournament. He yearned to battle his on way with his own strength with no interference. I thought that is cool. Now I've already seen this in the English Dub and this sequence of the story was brilliant too.  These two also appear in DBZ and they are much strong than they are in DB. I felt the need to draw them because they are both amazing characters. Once half of their face is shown here on each side:

The next fan art is of Sailor Uranus from the manga Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeuchi. She is one of the other Sailor guardians of whom I wanted to draw. I finished reading the 7th volume of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and her presence in the volume I felt seemed quite shocking.... well to me though. She seem like a very strong character and she seemed like someone of whom I felt need to be proved that she was one of the good guys. I really don't want to spoil what happens but it is a great volume that I've read so far. The next batch of villains introduces are a lot more stronger than the previous one and I sooooo want Sailor Guardians to beat them. I thought I create a galaxy background because this was what I visualised while drawing it. Also this song came to mind while I was adding colour on Photoshop. This is a cover song, I'm sure most of you will know this song as it was part of 2012 London Olympics Closing ceremony. However it was sung by the musicians who released it first. This band is Elbow. There might be a possibility when I'll draw more Sailor Guardians. This is such an AMAZING series:

Another fan art that I would like to show is of Yotsuba&! by Kiyohiko Azuma. He created another series which also very popular. That comic is in a form of a yonkoma. This manga is really really good and hilariously funny. I began reading it back in 2011. Yotsuba is a character who is apparently an orphan. Her adoptive father found her and raised her. I've sort of forgotten how she was found. You'll have to read the manga to find out. (;^_^) She is a girl that it full of excitement and I can honestly say if she was real, I would treat her with a whole bunch of cake and chocolate. She also makes hilarious funny expressions that seem to jump out out. I have had some odd moments where I've laughed out loud. Either on the bus or in a car. As you can see here I wanted to create that same happy and esttic feeling when you read the comic:

The fourth and final fan art for today is of Kazuya Kuji and Victorique de Blois from the anime Gosick.    When I came back to watching anime, I decided to watch an historical anime. It was recommended by one of work colleagues who convinced me to watch One Piece again. I spent each day during this month watching the remaining episodes and I was astound of how the plot unfolded. Victorique de Blois is some who would know the solution to a mystery that would need solving. But in order to prove that her solution is accurate, certain situations need to unfold. More things regarding mystries are revealed through Kazuya Kujo.  Kazuya Kujo is definitely someone who sticks by Victorique  especially when they are apart. There were some very creepy moments in the anime but I withheld myself from this and kept watching. The anime itself was brilliant and towards the end I was thinking that there should be another series:

There will be a retrospective view of all the fan art that I've created from July 2013 to February 2014 next week. Thank you for visiting my blog and please leave a comment. (~_^)

Fan Art Friday: The Foundation of Love Tree Chase in the Garden of Life inspired by the music of Westlife

Happy Valentines Day and Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone. To celebrate this special day I thought I'd show that 26 page story. It was created using an HB pencil, a metallic ruler and a 0.7 pen. Also I used coloured inks such as black, red, orange and white and combine them together to make different shades of brown.

The concept of this was created back in 2009 when I was waiting at a bus stop. I was listening to a track called 'Reach Out'. As I was listening to this song, this story was visualised in my head. I thought I combine history and contemporary together. There is another version of these two characters. Click here to see how they looked like previously. There are no words in this story so you'll have to look at the images to know what the story is all about. I hope you like it:

Here are the rest of the images:

There will be more fan art next week. Thank you for visitng my blog and please leave a comment!

Fan Art Friday: Popeye the Sailor by E.C Segar, Count Duckula by Cosgrove Hall, Dangermouse by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall and Felix the Cat by Otto Messmer and Pat Sullivan

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! I hope you're all having or had a great Friday wherever you are. Today I'll be showing four fan arts. All of these were pencils sketches then colour was added on Photoshop.

The first one for today is Popeye and Olive by E.C Segar. This is another childhood cartoon that I watched and I absolutely adored it. He's amazingly cool and I loved that when he was stuck in a dark situation he would have his can of Spinach. He has a love interest which was Olive. She's pretty awesome too. The cartoons were amazingly funny and it certainly put a smile of my face. Earlier this year, I read the comic and it just as hilarious as the cartoon. I'm really impressed with this drawing that I've done and since they are love hearts present in this drawing, I thought I'd create something linking to  Valentine's Day:

The next fan art is of Count Duckula by Cosgrove Hall. It's another cartoon that I watch during the 90's and it was amazingly funny too. Count was in fact a duck that never drank blood, but loved food. He had a butler called Igor and a maid called Nanny. There were great moments where Nanny would say quotes like 'Ducky-Boos'. There was another quote that I quite adored, which made me laugh from time to time. I won't reveal what it is. If you ever get the chance to what it is you'll probably know what it is.  There have been an array of characters that appear and were really cool. There was even an narrator who was really really scary....well it was scary for me back in when I was kid. The narrator wasn't quite scary at the beginning as he introduced the story by towards the end he creates an evil laughter that shook me to the core, it even gave me nightmares. Over time I got over it:

The third fan art is of Felix the Cat by Pat Sullivan and Otto Messmer. It was another cartoon that I watched as a child back then I had huge fascination about cats, I still do today. I thought I'd draw him reading. From watching this cartoon, I really wanted a black cat.... I never did get one. Aw, well. LOL:

The fourth and final fan art for today, is of Dangermouse by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall . I didn't watch this until I was 14. But it was really awesome. It's a parody of a mouse who is a British Spy. He has a sidekick called Penfold. He's quite cool. The theme song was cool and it's something that stuck it my head for ages:

As it is Valentine's day next week, I will be approaching a different view of fan art. I can't say what it is. I really don't want to spoil it. Thanks for visiting my blog and please leave a comment.
