Sense of Place Project Part 3

Here are the skeches that I have made for the 3-D Manifestation:

The first two involves a skech of how the 3-d manifestation would be visulised floor filled with skeches and a large circle space for the short cylinder builing to be placed.

The next two pages reveals how the cylinder will be filled iwth the lyrics of the music that I have been listening to. I will also make cardboard people. These will be placed around the building to show the amount of people who were present.

The ceiling will be filled with a transparent sheet, (probably assetate) with matchsticks expressing the design of the actual ceiling that is at the Great Court.

This is an drawing from memeory of what I was drawing at the the British Museum.

Sense of Place Project

This is the new project that is currently taking place, it is called sense of place, I have been asked to go to a gallery or a museum and make sketches then make a 3-D manifestation of the chosen place. I decided to got to the British museum and chose the Great Court as my Sense of Place. Here are my sketches of the Great Court. There were lots of people present and I found it at times quite difficult to draw some of the people since a lot of movement was taken place:

There are more drawings that I have done hopefully there will be shown tomorrow or wednesday.

Imagined Record Collection Part 3

Here are the various vinyl records that Rishche release.......(I used various materials for the covers but enjoyed using pastels. I remember using an old technique from the Greek Myth project, this was creating tones in single colours as well as on top of another colour.

Here they are:

Rishche also had duets with two musicians they are Takashi Ryan who is a pianist and Ki Ki who is an musician from Malaysia:

The final two are just Rishche on her own:

Imagined Record Collection

The Project that I am doing present, is the ‘Imagined Record Collection’. My task is to create an imagined character and create a various selection of albums, posters etc, highlighting his/her career.

I have chosen to do a jazz/blues musician called Rishche Neon. The word ‘Rishche’ is my name Cherish backwards. I have also chosen to use a hairstyle that I have used earlier in May last year.  Here is the image:

Rishche Neon, is a 21 year old, Jazz and blues musician, who wears odd dresses for her performances. With her mum making the clothes and her father composes the music, this musician writes the songs, which are listed, on her albums.

I commenced this project by drawing her and inking her with a brush pen. Here are a few images:

This is the line art and the inked version of this imagined character.

This is a jazz dress which her mother made also the image which I am hoping to use for a poster.

I have done an album which is on CD and three singles which are from the album 'Reflection'. The images below are the front and back cover of the album.

Self Portrait and Illustrated News

I would like to explain that before I commenced any of the projects that I have talked about last year, I was previously doing a project called 'Self Portrait'. This was the first project that was given and I enjoyed it. This was entered in a competition and I am not really sure who won. Never the less, I am glad I entered.  I have to use eight things which can be illustrated. I chose to use a prospective building to represent me. It took a while to draw this building but in the end it was quite successful.

Here is the drawing that I have drawn using a nib pen and ink:

Here are what I have chosen:

1: Favourite Pastime: Walking home with friends.
2: Favourite Pet: Cats
3:Favourite Weather: Sun
4: Favourite Possession: Spectacles
5: Favourite Clothes: Jeans
6: Favourite Book: Manga
7: Favourite Comfort: Hugging
8: Favourite Shoes: Boots

Here are the remaining two drawings for the 'Illustrated News'. I'm quite pleased with this  project too:
