Fan Art Friday: Hiei and Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho by Yoshihiro Togashi

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone! Today I will be showing you two drawings. Both of them were made using watercolour paints. Both of these characters were villains in the manga and anime but they both change within the series. Plus I will be reading volume 15 and I am very excited. (^_^)

The first drawing is of Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho. He was certainly one of the villains that was quite shocking. Particularly since I read this series back in my teens. But I admit he is very interesting. This is due to the fact of his many reappearances in the series and what Botan and Koenma have to do to get him to help. It's quite hilarious. Plus he grows much stronger from his first appearance in the series.

I drew Hiei in a much more older form but I am quite happy with it.

The second and final fan art for today is of Kurama who was also another villain of the series but just as interesting like Hiei. His background story as to how he became into his human form was quite nice too. He appearance in the anime and manga are both intriguing. I already like him as a character and he immediately became another favourite character that I really liked a lot.

I drew him here in his human form and just like the previous drawing I'm happy with it.

I really don't want to give an details of what happens in this series for I think that it would be great if you read the manga or watch the anime to find out. It really is great.

Fan Art Friday: Jiro and Nahoko from The Wind Rises directed by Hayao Miyazaki

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone! Today's drawing will be about Jiro and Nahoko from the Studio Ghibli movie 'The Wind Rises'. It was directed by Hayao Miyazaki. This was the final movie that Miyazaki created. He then retired from making animation.

I was quite saddened by the news that this was the last movie. So I made an extra effort to buy my copy of this movie. I first watched this movie in Japanese first and for the first in a long while, I can understand some of what the the characters are saying. I felt quite happy about this because I have been studying for quite a while now. A week later I decided to watch the English dub and I was very very VERY impressive. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt played these characters really well. Above all I found the movie to be really good and also great insight to the making of aeroplanes.

Also the movie was at a pivotal point in time. It was during the the 1920's onwards.

When this movie was out in the cinemas in the UK, the art book of the movie was released. I managed find it in my local library and read only halfway. This was mainly because it revealed a lot of spoilers for me since I didn't watch the movie. Also there was a lot of the information about how the movie began as well as the background storyline. I was was quite intrigued by this as I was able to find out a lot more.

For this drawing, I made the main characters in watercolour paints and made some blue spirals in a green background.

Fan Art Friday: Inspired Picture Inspired by the song Fine by Kylie Minougue (Good Friday Special)

Happy April, Happy Good Friday and Happy Fan Art Friday. Today's drawing is inspired by a song by Kylie Minougue. The name of the song is called Fine.

The song is part of the album that she released last year. It is called  'Kiss Me Once'.  Not all the songs I liked on the album but the one was one of the few that I liked.

It has a great up beat tempo and I found myself dancing to this song a lot. Also this is one of the songs that I listened to more often when I draw.

For this drawing I drew a man dancing to the song with some of the lyrics in the background. Also I used the colour green because in most cases I use blue and this is something different.

Fan Art Friday: Interpretations of the Sun and Night

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! Today's drawings are interpretation of something that you see every day. It is also based on some that I saw when I was very young. They were both made using watercolour paints and a 0.9 red lead in a mechanical pen.

In the 90's there was several adverts that showed various examples of how the weather can be shown through people. This advert was created by a company called Powergen. The adverts were shown before the weather appeared to people across the country.

So here is my way of homage to these brilliant adverts.

My first drawing is an interpretation of the sun. I decided to draw her in a dress that is a lot similar to a ball gowns. She also has a hat too. I'm quite impressed of how the sun came out. (:D)

The second and final final fan art for today is an interpretation of the night. I wanted to imagine this person running through the sky as it gradually changes. Hence the various blues that you can see in this drawing. (;D)

Fan Art Friday: Yusuke and Keiko from Yu Yu Hakusho by Yoshihiro Togashi and Kenshin and Yahiko from Rurouni Kenshin by Nobuhiro Watsuki

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone! Today's drawings are about two manga. I have read them both when I was 17. I'm still reading them today. These drawings were created using watercolour paints and 0.9 red mechanical pen.

The first drawing is of Keiko and Yusuke from the manga Yu Yu Hakusho. I really like this manga a lot.   It tells the story of Yusuke and also Keiko who is his old school friend but very soon will be his love interest. There is some rivalry in this manga too but it is portrayed in a very humorous way. Yusuke's rival is a guy called Kuwubara. There is also a anime of the series and it is just as good as the manga. I'll be reading volume 14 of this series very soon.
In this drawing, I drew both Yusuke and Keiko in mid air.

The second and final fan art for today is of Kenshin and Yahiko from the manga Rurouni Kenshin. It's probably one of the most awesome manga that I have seen and I'm very pleased to have read it. Kenshin is seen wandering the streets of Japan in the Meiji restoration period. At some point he meets a girl called Kaoru. Much later he meets Yahiko who is becomes a student at a dojo that Kaoru teaches. I drew both of these characters because I felt that Yahiko was someone who had looked up to Kenshin. Kenshin is a bit of a father figure to him. There's a lot of action and romance in this manga and I'm very impressed with the anime too. I watched the anime up to a certain point as there were some episodes that were not part of the manga. I wasn't quite satisfied with this at all. I'm currently on volume 19 of the manga and I'm really looking forward to reading it. This drawing, I wanted to them to stand with their back against each of other with the awareness knowing that both of them are near.

Fan Art Friday: Tempo Lush Tales: Vincent from Two Sons by Richy K. Chandler and illustrated by Inko and Chie Kustsuwada and Presidentof West Tibia, Jackson and Suzie from President of West Tibia by Richy K. Chandler and Illustrated by Paul Shin

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone! Today's drawings will once again be based on Tempo Lush Tales. The stories that were based on these two drawings were really amazing and quite interesting too. (All of the stories in the volume were great. :D) These drawings were made using watercolour paints and a 0.5 mechanical pen.

The first drawing is Vincent from the short story Two sons written by Richy K. Chandler and illustrated by Inko and Chie Kustsuwada. I really enjoy this story as it gave an immense example of both brothers are like. I really liked Vincent because he seemed to be very secretive and I felt the smartest of the two brothers. I smiled at the way he handled a certain situation that involved both him and Sam. Plus he also seemed quite calm too. There were two drawings that I made that were based on Vincent but I felt that this one was better. It is of him wearing a waistcoat and a bow. I'm quite happy with this drawing.

The second and final drawing is of the President of West Tibia, Jackson and Suzie from the short story The president of West Tibia also by Richy K. Chandler and illustrated by Paul Shin. This was also another great story too.  It's also quite funny too. There was something that the president did that made Suzie return and try and put something right. He also was quite saddened of something too. Jackson tried to calm him too. For this drawing I found it quite complex to choose the appropriate colours for each character but I did what I can.

Fan Art Friday: Morning Musume '15

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone! Today I'll be showing you two drawings. These drawings were made using a mechanical pen using red lead. These drawings are of two members from a popular girl group from Japan.

The name of the girl group is called Morning Musume. I heard of this group a couple of years ago and I admit they are very good. I did a bit of research and found out that there were many members have come and gone. Their music is really awesome and it is another group that made me smile.

These drawings were made as part of drawing project where artists around amateur or professional were asked to make drawings of the members. I decided to do two and yearned to post them on here. I'm very impressed and pleased with them and I hope you like them too.

Fan Art Friday: Saint DragonGirl by Natsumi Matsumoto and Vows by Tamaria Sona

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone! Today I'll be posting two drawings one of them is based on a manga and the other is a short e-book. Also both of them are in watercolour paints.

The first fan art is of Momoka Sendou from St DragonGirl by Natsumi Matsumoto. This manga was recommended by a website called Goodreads. I was intrigued by the front cover as well as the blurb behind the first volume. So I found the volume on at the library consortium and read it and surprisingly it was really good.

I quite like Momoka a lot and I thought that it was really awesome that there were moments where she would fight back. At some moment in this volume she ends up posesssing a dragon spirit. With the help of her best friend Ryuga, they both end up fighting evil spirits. I was very intrigued and surprised of how this first volume ended so I'll be reading the rest to find out what happens next.

I thought that it would be great to draw Momoka in in the traditional Chinese clothes that she is usually seen in the volume. Also I decided to use violet and white too. Since this is a Shoujo Luanda I thought I'd draw flowers in the background.

At some point I will draw Ryuga. Here's the drawing:

The second and final fan art for today is of Addison and Peyton from the novel Vows by Tamaria Sona. Two weeks ago I was bound to my bed and decided to read some ebooks to pass the time. This was one of them that I read and read enjoyed. Also it is one of the ebooks that I keep going back to and keep reading.

The novel is about Addison who goes through a dramatic period when she looses her best friend Peyton as a result of a car crash. Addison and Peyton's husband Colin go through a mourning period. Addison is the main narrator of the novel and she decides to go through a stage of healing that not only benefit herself but her family too. This book was very heavy on drama but on how a relationship can be solved with a hear to heart conversations. Also Addison had moments where she would feel Peyton's presence advising and helping her to keep going. I thought they was really lovely so I wanted to convey them in a drawing. There were two versions of this drawing but since the first drawing was used on thin paper I felt that it was necessary to redraw these characters again. Addison's dress is in monochromatic blue since I love the colour blue and Peyton is in a form where we as the audience can see her but Addison can only feel her presence and hear her but cannot see her.:

Fan Art Friday: Merida and Queen Elinor from Brave by Disney Pixar

Hello everyone and Happy Fan Art Friday! Today I will be revealing one fan art for today. This drawing was created using watercolour paints and a mechanic 0.5 pen.

Today's fan art is of Merida and Queen Elinor from the Disney Pixar movie Brave. The movie tells the story about a teen called Merida, who is going the procedures of being a princess. I found out about this movie on the radio. Next I did a bit of research and found out that it was yet to be released in the UK. I was immensely excited about this. I spent most of my time back then watching a lot of historical documentaries as well as the programmes like Horrible Histories. Since the movie was first released in Scotland because the movie was set there. This was one movie that I really enjoyed a lot. The story really interesting too. There was a immense sense of a heart to heart with both of these characters and I thought that that was awesome.  Another thing that I really enjoyed a lot was the music. It made me feel drawn into the story. I loved the film music so much that three days after watching this movie, I bought the soundtrack. While listening to the album, I felt I was re-living the moment where I was in the cinema with my older brother watching this movie.
There was a lot of humour too and it left me laughing for hours. I really wanted to draw this movie  ever since I had watched it. Sadly I was unable to figure out how I was able to portray them. The drawing that is portrayed here is similar to what I thought of. When I completed this drawing I realised one thing. Queen Elinor is kneeling before Merida. I was quite surprised at this. But this was in a good. way.

Sunday Watercolour Drawing (2/5)

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great sunday so far. I thought that I'd show another watercolour drawing alongside the one that I made last week. This time I have chosen to draw a guy. He's a lot different as to how I draw men in the other drawing that I made in the past however I thought it would be great to create a different approach. I drew a floral background out of random. The reminder of what this drawing has from last week is that the top that he is wearing is based on medieval clothes.

There will be another drawing next sunday. Thank you for visiting and please write a comment. :)

Fan Art Friday: The Powerpuff Girls by Craig McCracken

Happy February and Happy Fan Art Friday. Today I will be showing only one fan art today. This fan art was made using watercolour paints and a mechanical pen with 0.9 red lead.

Today's fan art is about a cartoon network programme called The Powepuff Girls by Craig McCracken. This programme came around during the years of my preteens and around the time it was on TV it was part of a segment called 'Cartoon Cartoon'. The show is about three girls called Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles who were created using a children's nursery rhyme called 'What are little girls made of'. The person who made these girls were called 'Professor'. I don't think I can remember him having a name. After adding the ingredients into the mixture he accidentally adds one more ingredient. This is called "Chemical X".  The mixture then explodes and then the girls are then created. It's still one of the programmes that I can still remember that made me laugh and also dance. There was also a narrator who was absolutely hilarious. He would always made me laugh. Each cartoon were incredibly short, I assume around 15 minutes, but it was still incredibly awesome. I still kept watching the series even in my teens. I also adored the ending theme song. There was one episode that I can remember that had a song that had the phrase 'A signal in the sky'. The song was pretty awesome and it was a similar to music from the sixties. The episode that had this song involved a new neighbour that was going to live next to where the girls lived.

The drawing that I have made uses the colours that the girls wear and also a green background with spirals.

February First of the Month Drawing!

Happy Feburary everyone! Today and every sunday of this month, I will be posting new drawings. This week I made a couple of drawings. Some of them took a while to complete hence there will be only one drawing today.  I decided that it would be great to improve on my skills on traditional materials so most of the drawing that will be shown this month will be in watercolours. In this drawing I have drawn a couple in medieval clothes. I'm not only please with the clothes but also with the creation of the clouds. Although it looks very abstract I decided that I will leave it to you to think about what the drawing is about.

Enjoy your weekend. Thank you for visiting and please write a comment.

Fan Art Friday: Chibi-Usa from Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeguchi, Belle from Beauty and the Beast by Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont (Movie version by Disney) and Beatrix and William from Miss Potter Movie

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! Today I will be showing three drawings. All of them are watercolour drawings.

The first fan art is of Chibi-Usa From Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeguchi. I decided to draw her because I finished volume twelve of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and I will be moving on to reading the short stories. I'm not sure what to expect but I have a feeling that it is going to be great. The anime of Sailor Moon which is called Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal is also good too. The next series will be starting soon and so far Chibi-Usa has appeared. In the manga she is very interesting and I'm quite intrigued by her abilities as a Sailor guardian. There is a very interesting story about her and if you haven't read the manga yet, please do. I really enjoyed it. As you can see below I have drawn her with a dress that I have made up myself.

The next fan art is of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. As I have mentioned in a previous post this was a movie that I watched constantly with my brothers. It is another favourite after Aladdin. I decided to draw Belle because I found out something very interesting. Apparently Emma Watson, will be playing Belle in the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast. I'm looking forward to the movie when it is released. Belle is a great character and I love and I adore the concept that she reads. I loved that when she read and her excitement expands. Everyone around her thought she was weird but I thought she was incredible. I've drawn her in yellow dress.

The second and final art of today is of Beatrix and William Hellis from the movie Miss Potter. I first came across the movie five years ago. It was shown on BBC iPlayer and I love it. It told the story about Beatrix and how she became an successful author. The screenplay was written by Richard Maltby Jr. who also wrote the novel too. I loved how the movie had small animations where Peter Rabbit would animate. No one would see but Beatrix. At some point she hangs around William and this was around the time of her teens. I thought that it would be great to show both of them walking.  I had the chance of reading the novel and I really enjoyed it, Richard has really bought the novel to life. It felt that I was drawn to the world of Beatrix life. There were a lot of moments that would love to hug Beatrix.

New Year Picture 2015 (5/5)

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you've all had a brilliant month and have begun your new year goals. Here's the final drawing of the moon and star drawings that I have shown each thursday. This time I've drawn a man. Instead of him having yellow shoes I thought that it would be awesome if he had purple shoes. The moons and stars are position in a form of a vase.

I really hope you've enjoyed these drawings that I have made each Thursday. Depending on the day which the 1st lies on. I will try and make drawings on that day during each month. As next month will arrives on a Sunday, there will be a drawing expected. :D

Fan Art Friday: Big Bird from Seasame Street by Sesame Workshop

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone! Today I will be showing one fan art. This is very old but still remembered and also a favourite.

This fan art is of Big Bird from the programme Sesame Street which is produced by Sesame Workshop. This drawing is a response to the Sesame Street character Elmo. Big Bird is another character that I really like and enjoyed when watching the series when I was young. He was another character that surly have and will always make me smile. Two weeks ago I watched a movie that was about Big Bird in Japan. This movie was recommended by a friend of mine. When I watched it, I was very intrigued and also quite excited. The programme was made back in the 80's and it is really obvious as you can see the dress sense of most of the people. Although it has been a fortnight that I have seen it a thought came to mind and I felt inspired to do a drawing. I'm very pleased with the results.

Greetings Everyone! Here is the fourth new year drawing of the moon and circle series. This time I have drawn a younger girl and the moons and circles are in a form of a diamond. She has emerald eyes and her hair is shaped in a small buns. I'm very impressed with the results. Here's the drawing:

The final drawing of the series will be posted next week. Thank you for visiting and please write a comment.

Fan Art Friday: Chunky Rice and his mouse friend from Goodbye ChunkyRice by Craig Thompson and Puar from Dragonball and Dragonball Z by Akira Toriyama

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone. Today, I'll be showing you two fan arts. Both of these drawing were created using Photoshop.

The first fan art is of a tortoise called Chunky Rice and his mouse friend from the graphic novel Goodbye Chunky Rice.  I loaned this graphic novel from my local library and had some free time to have a read this week to read it. Chunky Rice and his mouse friend got to the beach and share a great moment together. Sadly it was their last meeting. He embarks on adventure. I was quite intrigued by the story and it made me a bit sad. Despite this there was a final quote at the end and that made me happy. I really adored how the story was conveyed through each illustration, I felt drawn to the story. I created this drawing where they would both be sitting down under the stars by the having a conversation.

The second and final fan art for today is of Yamacha's side kick Puar from the series Dragonball and Dragonball Z. She is a shapeshifter cat and was first seen in Dragonball. She is incredibly funny especially when she is fighting with Oolong. She is seen in Dragonball Z within the episodes watching Yamcha battling the super saiyans Vegeta and Nappa. I thought that it would be great to draw her. When I was drawing her it reminded me of the days when I recorded Dragonball. I felt that the purple background suited her very well.  Towards the end of last year I successfully finished reading the entire Dragonball series and it was really awesome. I will be reading the Dragonball Z series very soon and I am very very excited. Here's the drawing:

Thursday New Year Drawing (3/5) 200th Post!

Greetings Everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope you're all having a brilliant week. Here's today's drawing which is part of the series. This time I've chosen to draw yellow clouds which are part of the cloak that this gentlemen is currently wearing. If you look closer in the drawing you see smiling faces on each cloud. The colour scheme is the same and also the moons and circles are portrayed as a fish in this drawing.

There will be another drawing like this next thursday. Thanks for visiting and please write a comment. :D

Fan Art Friday: The Pink Panther by Friz Freleng, Blake Edwards & Hawley Pratt

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone. There will be one fan art that I will be showing you for today. This drawing was a red pencil sketch. Next I used watercolours and black pen for the outline.

This fan art is of the cartoon character The Pink Panther. This character was created by three people. They are Friz Freleng, Blake Edwards & Hawley Pratt. I am very familiar with the cartoon series which appeared back in the 60's and also in the 90's. I knew of the cartoon series from the 60's because it appeared in the 90's and the early noughties.

Both series were really good and what was also pretty cool. In the earlier episodes the pink panther never talked but in the 90's version he did and I thought that was awesome. There were also new characters introduced in the 90's as well as the other known characters the ant and the aardvark and Inspector Jacques Clouseau. The theme songs were pretty good too. The older series had an immense sense that it was part of the past and the 90's cartoons version was a remake of the original theme by Henry Mancini. It's probably the theme song that I never had forgotten and what I can associate with this character.

I have drawn the Pink Panther winter clothes because I yearned to make a huge sense of the season which is currently present. As of yet it hasn't snowed yet but it is cold chilly and windy. :D :

There will be more fan art next week, thank you for visiting and please write a comment. Have a great weekend.

Thursday New Year January Drawing (2/5)

Greetings everyone! Here is a another new drawing for the new year and also for the new month. I thought that it would be great to do a response to the last drawing that I made. It carries the theme of moon and circles. The only difference this time is that I have drawn a boy:

For the next the following weeks of January on Thursday, there will be more characters with this theme.

Fan Art Friday: Curious George by Hans Augusto Rey and Margret Ray and Ducktales by Carl Barks and Disney

Happy New Year! Happy January and Happy Fan Art Friday! Today I'll be posting two drawing of cartoons. One of then I spotted sometime within my early twenties and the other I had watch when I was young. I made these drawings using colouring pencils.

The first fan art is of Curious George. I was quite intrigued about this cartoon because it has become a movie and also there have been books based on him. Every episode was very interesting and I felt personally that George was trying and exploring new things. This is more like what a child would be like. I also like the narrator of the story mostly because he made explained what George was doing in a cool way. I liked the theme song as it viewed how George was going from one place to another within a small set of scenes. In this drawing I decided to portray George dancing and moving about.

The second and final drawing for today is of the main characters from the 1980's cartoon Disney cartoon Ducktales. This was a brilliant and awesome cartoon that I really enjoyed. The cartoon was about Scrooge Mc Duck and his nephews Huey, Leuey and Dewie. This cartoon was a very dramatic and I felt quite emotional. There was one episode where a female villan made counterparts of the main characters. Her plan would have been so successful. There are also episodes where Donald Duck makes an appearance in the series too. This made me smile. There was also a movie to go with the series too and it was just as awesome as the series.

There will be more fan art next week. Thank you for visiting and please write a comment. Enjoy your weekend.  \(^o^)/

Happy New Year 2015!

Happy New Year!
Have you achieve your past goals?
Were there were successful?
There's still time,
Write goals,
To reach an objective,
Keep focused,
Keep going,
Don't worry about the
Winds of frustration
It won't be easy,
But set forth your focus,
Even when it gets tough,
Be encouraged, Be you,
Go higher,
Do your best and don't give up,
To celebrate this day,
Here is a new drawing,
of a girl floating,
Happy New Year
