Fan Art Friday: Morning Musume '15

Happy Fan Art Friday everyone! Today I'll be showing you two drawings. These drawings were made using a mechanical pen using red lead. These drawings are of two members from a popular girl group from Japan.

The name of the girl group is called Morning Musume. I heard of this group a couple of years ago and I admit they are very good. I did a bit of research and found out that there were many members have come and gone. Their music is really awesome and it is another group that made me smile.

These drawings were made as part of drawing project where artists around amateur or professional were asked to make drawings of the members. I decided to do two and yearned to post them on here. I'm very impressed and pleased with them and I hope you like them too.

There will be more fan art next week. Thank you for visiting and please write a comment.

Fan Art Friday: World Tavel Market 2014 and Perfume

Happy Fan Art Friday, this post is coming late but I thought that it would still post them today. There are two drawings. One of them is based on an event that took place and of another will be taking place at a future date. The background is a similar to last week's drawing but there is a combination of colours used.

The first fan art is of an event that I work at. The name of the event is World Travel Market 2014. This event took place at Excel London. It is mainly a business travel show and countries around try to convince people who visit the show to make business in their countries. I was positioned in the press centre. This was at the platinum suite of the Excel centre. I have to admit there were some interesting people who were press and came through. Since I was positioned at the second floor of the centre I greeted them with a smile. Some responded and some didn't. I yearned to make something inspired from the show. The people that you can see here in this drawing are song of the members of press that I saw.:

The second and final fan for today is of the japanese pop trio Perfume. I came across this band sometime earlier this year. They were recommended by a friend of min who has been listening to this bad for a very long time. I listened to some of their tracks on youtube and bought their latest album 'Level 3' from a Japanese festival in London. I loved it! They are a world tour right now and they will be coming to London. I will be going to this concert and I am tremendously excited. It will be the third time that I have seen a band that isn't from the UK. It will take place next Wednesday. The song that I really like the most was this song. I love the dance moves in this video too. There was an album version on the album and I thought it was really awesome. The dresses that are seen here are similar to what they usually drawn but I thought that I would make a couple of changes.:

Fan Art Friday: Nonoko from My Neighbours The Yamadas by Hisachi Ishii and Isao Takahata and Mr Bump From Mr Men and Little Miss by Roger Hardgreaves

Happy April and Happy Fan Art Friday! Today I'll be showing two fan arts. Both of them were pencil sketches and the changed and modified on Photoshop.

The first fan art is of Nonoko from the movie My Neighbours the Yamadas by Isao Takahata. This was a Studio Ghibli movie that I watched back in 2011 and I really really enjoyed it. I laughed so much and the songs were pretty good too. From doing a bit more research I found out the original comic is by Hisachi Ishii. My favourite character is Nonoko so I thought that it would be awesome if I draw her. While studying Japanese I decided to watch the DVD again and what I noticed is that there are a couple of words that I understand. I was absolutely thrilled.:

The second and final fan art for today is of Mr Bump from Mr Men and Little Miss by Roger Hardgreaves. I remember in my childhood reading the books as well as watching the series. It was hilarious. There were moments were I marvelled of the things that each of these characters go through. Mr Bump is my favourite. I got a key chain of him. The pencil sketch of Mr Bump was not to my best effort so I decided to make some improvements on Photoshop. I thought I create him with a happy smile. This was a success:

There will be more Fan Art next week. Thank you for visiting my blog and please leave a comment. Have a brilliant month. (^_^)

Fan Art Friday: Captain Lucas Blackstone and Annabelle Haveham from Bought for Revenge by Sarah Mallory and Edo no Komori Uta

Hello Everyone and Happy Fan Art Friday! Today I'll be showing two fan arts today. One of them is a new drawing created by hand then changed on Photoshop. The second drawing was created during my university days. It was done by hand using coloured and black ink.

The first fan art is of Lucas Blackstone and Annabelle Hanveham from the novel 'Bought for Revenge' by Sarah Mallory. I was really excited to read this book and I really enjoyed it. I adored the female protagonist Annabelle. I felt she was a very strong character in the book and despite her times where she had to distance herself from Blackstone and was also of High Status, she still had compassion for the people that she lived with. Particually those of a very poor background. I also had so much passion for Blackstone, considering what he had been through in the past.

What I did here was I tried to create the characters from the book, but I made a couple of changes:

The second and final fan art for today is of a Japanese Children Song called Edo no Komori Uta. This a  song that I found very interesting when I first heard it I found it quite odd. But as I repeated the song over I grew fond of it. Japanesepod101.com was the website that introduced me to the song, while beginning studying Japanese through audio and video podcasts. These podcasts were found on  I still listen to the podcasts today and it always make me smile. Usually I chose to use a guy holding a baby and I wrote the some of lyrics in lyrics. Lastly this drawing was created on a Saturday night on my way back from youth meeting. Buses were put to a halt because of snow and while listening to a list of music I felt that it would be really awesome to do a drawing based on this song:

There will be more fan art next week. Once again thank you for visiting my blog. Please leave a comment.

Fan Art Friday: Shizuku from Bara Nai No Hanaya, Sailor V and Luffy from One Piece! (^_^)

Happy August and Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! Today I will be showing three fan arts. Two of them are a both an anime and a manga the other is a Japanese drama. The materials used were pencil and water-colour paints. I intend on using these materials because these are one of the materials that I would like to improve on.

The first fan art is of the manga  Codename: Sailor V who is also known as Sailor Venus in the manga Sailor Moon. It's by the same author of the Sailor Moon Series. I drew this as a response to the Usagi and Mamoru-chan and Artemis and Luna fan art that I created. Currently I'm reading the manga and I find it very very funny. There were times when I laughed hysterically on buses and also on the tube thanks to this manga. The water-colours turned out to become amazingly brilliant when I completed it \(^_~)/ :

Next is the anime and manga series One Piece. I started watching this anime during my late-teens, but stopped watching it at some point. In March, when I was working at my stewarding job. I was talking with a work colleuge of mine who was an Otaku. She convinced my to watch the anime and ultimately I gave in and watched it after work. I continued watching the anime from where I stopped and realized what I was missing out on. The next day, I spoke to her and I couldn't keep my mouth shut about it. She felt that her mission was complete after spending the previous day convincing me to watch. It was thanks to her that I'm now a fan and it is now added to my list of favourites. I've drawn the main protagonist Monkey D. Luffy:

The final fan art for today is of a Japanese Drama that I watched back in 2009. It is called 'Bara No Nai Hanaya' which translates to 'A Florist Shop with no Roses' It tells the story about a man called Eiji and his florist shop. This was the second Japanese Drama that I watched and I absolutely LOVED it. \(^0^)/ I loved it so much that I kept watching the episodes over and over. I would love to by the series on DVD. The girl in the drawing is Shizuku. She plays a very significant role in the series and is really awesome. There are flowers in the background which I chose to use to convey what I tried to express. In fact there are a lot of characters that I really like in this:

Surprisingly, I created a lot of fan art this week but since I was very busy, I haven't been able to complete it. So, some of the fan art will be posted up next Friday. Thanks for visiting! Please leave a comment! Have a great month! \(^_^)/

Fan Art Friday: Tenchi: Sasami, Ryo-ohki & Ken-ohki, Murphy's Law: Rai & Mary & Nurarihyon no Mago (^_~)

Hello Everyone! Once again it's a friday and it's time to show some fan art! Hooray! (^_^) So to start off I thought I'd show some more Tenchi drawing that I did last week and this week. The first one is of one of the main characters called Sasami. She is the sister of the Jurai princess Ayaka. This was drawn in pencil and inked on the way to work. One the plus side, since I'm learning Japanese, I thought I'd write her name in hiragana:

The next one is of two animal characters of the Tenchi Universe series, Ryo-Ohki and Ken-Ohki. I think these characters are really awesome and what's awesome about these two is that they can change into spaceships. Ryo-Ohki usually is with the space pirate Ryoko and Ken-Ohki is with the bounty Hunter Nagi. This was done in watercolour paints. (There will definatley more fan art of Tenchi series too.):

The next one is of the a manga that I read back in 2009, called Murphy's Law. It was written and drawn by the artist Faye Yong. It's all about the story about Mary and how she hope to be in a relationship with a rich guy. Rai comes into the story at some point but you'll have to read the manga to find out where. What I love about this manga is that there are a lot of surprises and a lot of humour, plus it's heavy on the romance. I drew this using Photoshop CS3, and made the characters wear historical clothes. Back then I was new into historical fiction and I made a habit of making characters that I've read, dress up in either Regency or Victorian clothes. Here's what I came up with.:

Lastly, I yearned to create a fana art about Nurarihyon no Mago. The series came out when I was in the final stages of my university years. I managaed to watch half of the first series and one episode of series 2. It's quite an interesting series and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The series has my favourite anime actor Jun Fukuyama. He plays the lead role Nura in his human and yokai form. He's also the voice behind Kimihiro Watanuki in all of the anime series of XXXHolic. (Even the OVAS. ^_^) When I reconised his voice in this series I bagan to watch the series. When the time comes I will watch the rest of the series as well as do more fan art. I'll also try and find the manga too. ^_^ :
