Fan Art Friday: Namadine and Harlan from Biomecha by Laura Watton-Davies and Desperate Dan from Dandy

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! Today I'll be showing only two fan arts. One of them is in colour and was previously a pencil sketch the other is in black and white and ink in green ink. Both were changed and improved on Photoshop.

The first fan art for today is of Namadine and Harlan from the comic series Biomecha by Laura Watton. I created this drawing in green ink back in 2011 and told myself that I will not post it until I've read the short comic Team Leader which is a short comic and part of the Biomecha Series that Laura has created. Since I read it thanks to Neo Magazine I thought that it was time to post it up. It also felt necessary to add some tones on Photoshop, regardless if it was in Black and White. I hope you guys like it:

The final fan art for today is of Desperate Dan from the comic magazine Dandy. The comic was published by DC Thomson. The picture is a link of the Dennis the Menace drawing that I did last week. The comic was another that I read back when I was a kid and was what I read other than the Beano. The drawing follows the same colour scheme as the last one:

There will be more fan art next week. It'll be the first fan art Friday of 2014 and of January so I hope to bring forth some more drawings of things and comics that are awesome. Tomorrow I'll post up something else, it sort of links to what I've been doing throughout the year.

Fan Art Friday: Dennis the Menace and Nasher from Beano, Melfina and Gene Starwind from Outlaw Star by Takehiko Ito , Ryoko and Tenchi from Tenchi Muyo/Universe by Hitoshi Okuda, Masaki Kajishima and Jason and Sheridan from Fruit Machine by Mimi-Evelyn

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone I hope you've all had a great and marvellous week so far.  Today I'll be showing four fan arts. All of them were created as pencil sketches then modified and changed on Photoshop. Three of the fans art drawings took me under an hour to complete. Roughly around 45 to 60 mins. I might be working a lot quicker than usual. Three of them are in a snow theme. Mostly because I love snow. These drawings were also created during the week. I yearned to finish these images earlier than later because there are a few other posts that I would love to show on this blog. Which will be either around Christmas Day and during the new year. ^_^

The first Fan art is of Dennis the Menace which is part of a comic called Beano and published by DC Thompson. These comics were one of the first few that I've read back in my childhood years. I'm very very surprised that it is still going. It has touched many generation since it first began and it is still ongoing. The Beano annuals that are available. I can honestly say it feel weird reading these comics again after all these year. I'm not sure when I came out of it. Also in the Cartoon Museum there many Beano comics for visitors to read. There's also a past history section of Dennis the Menace and of other Beano comics in the museum too:

The  next fan art is of Gene Starwind and Melfina from the manga  Outlaw Star by Takehito Ito. The anime was created by Sunrise. I've only watched the anime and I thought that it was good. I first watched this within my mid-teens. There were a couple of favourite episodes that I like as well as other episodes that have made me very laugh. What you can see here is both of these characters walking in the snow:

This fan art is of Ryoko and Tenchi from the Tenchi Muyo/Universe series. As I've mentioned in a couple of other posts, the Tenchi anime series was what bought me into anime within my late childhood years. Here you'll see Ryoko chasing Tenchi who would really like a kiss from him. Tenchi avoids this by running away from her. LOOOL!:

The last fan art for today is of Jason and Sheridan from the web-comic Fruit Machine by Mimi -Evelyn. I read the web-comic in one day which was on Tuesday this week. It made me laugh a lot. So I thought I'd create a fan art for this series. I've met Mimi at the London Comic Con a couple of years ago. I bought some prints and postcards so I thought that it would be cool if I read her latest stuff. ^_^  As you can see here both of these characters are staring right back at the viewer. The question is what are they looking at? There is another picture that I'll be creating to go with this image. It will be post up on the 10th of January so stay tuned:

There will be more fan art next week, the next drawings will be based towards the new year. Thank you for visiting my blog and as always please leave a comment.

Fan Art Friday: Strawberry,Chocolate, Carlos and Sakura by Joanna Zhou, Cream, Geraldine, Ewan, Lee, and Jill from Cafe Suda by Jade Sarson and Rufus and Flook by Wally Fawkes

Seasons Greetings to you all and Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! I hope you're all having a brilliant time this month and are making the most of it during this festive season. Today I'll be showing three fan arts two of them have been created using coloured inks and the third one has been created using Photoshop. Since I yearned to be in the Christmas Spirit, these fan arts are seasonal and I hope you'll like them.

The first fan art is from the webcomic Cafe Suada by Jade Sarson. It's a brilliant series and I've read it surprisingly amounts of times online this year as well as late last year. The character in the middle is called Cream is my favourite character in the series. She's a character of whom I think would be very very interesting to talk to over tea. The next favourite character of whom I think is awesome is Geraldine on the top right. She is very significant in the comic but I would love for you to read it. If you love tea or coffee or BOTH, please check out this webcomic. Plus if you like what you see and would love to buy the comic click here Also have a look at Jade's DA too.:

The next fan are of the manga Chocoberry and Carlos and Sakura by Joanna Zhou These characteres are Chocolate Strawberry (The two koalas above and Carlos (the hedghog) and Sakura (the rabbit) These two are in a manga called Harajuku Zoo as well as their own mini series 'Carlos and Sakura. If there is one thing that I can say about Joanna Zhou's comics are that they are very funny. The Carlos and Sakura series is very funny too. She's also a Graphic Designer and a Illustrator.  I thought I create these characters having a snowball fight:

The final fan art for today is of Flook and Rufus from the comic strip Flook. It's by the artist and jazz musician Wally Fawkes who is also known as Trog. Rufus is the boy and Flook is the creature next to him. Earlier this year, there was a exhibition at the Cartoon Musuem about Wally and his friend Humphrey Lyttelton. Both of them draw and and well know musicians within the 20th Century. This was indeed a great exhibiton and a interesting retrospective. I thought I'd draw these two in suits to fit the season:

There will be more fan art next week. Thank you for visiting and please leave a comment!

Fan Art Friday: Len and Raine from DNA by CowgirlEm and Usagi and Mamoru-Chan from Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeguchi

Happy Fan Art Friday Everyone! I hope you're all having a brilliant week so far and are making good and great plans for the Christmas holidays. As I mentioned int last week's Fan Art Friday post. The drawings that will be shown from now until 27th will be Christmas themed. This is because I'm currently in the Christmas mood. Also I'm going to make a habit make each fan art character in historical clothes. Today I'll be showing two fan art drawings. These drawings were created with a light lilac coloured pencil and coloured inks.

I have added a boarder that I created on Photoshop  to add effect. It didn't take a while to make.

The first fan art is of Len and Raine from the webcomic and manga DNA which is known as DeoxyRiboNuclearAnarchy by CowgirlEm. This was the third DNA fan art that I created after the previous two. Since this one was suited for Christmas so I thought I add coloured inks to it. I'm quite pleased of what has come out:

The last and final fan art for today is of Usagi and Mamoru-chan from Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeguchi. The drawing is okay I guess but I felt the least I could do was post this up. The border was added and this made the drawing stand out a whole lot more. I will be creating more Sailor Moon fan art, whenever necessary. I ADORE this manga and I hope to add it to my collection at some point. I'm just not so sure when:

There will be more Christmas fan art next week. Thanks for visiting my blog and please leave a comment.

Happy December! First Xmas Pics!

Hi everyone and happy December! Today as promised I'll be showing you some Christmas pictures. Today I'll show three. These pictures were created about three years ago. All of these were created using watercolour paints orange pencils and Photoshop. The reasons as to why I chose to create these drawings is because I yearned to be in the xmas spirit.:

The last image that is seen here will be part of a Christmas Card. It's part of the Holiday Card Project that Deviantart are currently doing. I'll be sending it on Monday. It took a while to finish but it seems to be a success. Two of the people in this drawing are based on random people of whom I saw on the street and on the bus. The woman on the right was the person that I saw on the bus with her daughter. The guy on the lower right was someone I saw on the way home from work:

I did create some pastel drawings that are based on the Christmas theme a couple of years ago. If you would like to have a look then please click here. Thank you for visiting my blog. Please leave a comment.
