Fan Art Friday: Reliving the Teenage Otaku: Yu-Gi-Oh, Tenchi and Pokemon

Helloo! Every One As it is Fan Art Friday today, I thought I'd show a couple that I did during the week during bus and train journeys to work. These drawing are based on the anime and manga that I read and watch in my teens towards early twenties. It was pretty much when I became an Otaku.

The first one is Yu-Gi-Oh. I absolutely adore the first sires involving Yugi Moutou, Over time when I got to find out how the story changes when he meets a range of friends and enemies, I was awed. In my late teen to early 20's I began to read the manga, I'm half way through 6 volumes through Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist (Which was of translated in to English) and I was even more amazed. Reading the story in comic form was inspiring. There were even some parts that left me really scared. (Seriously ^_^!) I encourage you to read the manga. If you can find it, please read it you'll love for sure. I had you use real cartoon images to get it into proportion. The image is split so you'll see Yami Yugi and Yugi Moto:

The next is Pokemon. It was a huge big deal when I was 12. I watched it every Saturday when it was on SM:TV Live and also on Sky One. This was of course the first series. Overtime there were movies and more series to add on to the segment. It's was inspired by the  Nintendo game too. Oh and I drew this from memory.  Here is as Ash:

Lastly there was the anime series Tenchi: Muyo. This was shown on cartoon network, from the late 90's to mid 00's. It was main about a teenage bout called Tenchi who goes into his family shrine and some how revives Ryoko the space pirate. Over time new characters are introduced into the story and also of shenanigans happen between him and these characters. It was split into three series with different stories. These are Tenchi: Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo and another Tenchi GXP. There was also a spin-off called Pretty Sammy. Once of my favourite characters was called Washu, she a scientist and can create a lot thing. She can even create computer viruses too. I did use reference but this was after I tried drew most of if from memory:

Fan Art Friday!: Dragonball ^_^

Hello Everyone, I thought I would share some fan art with you. I will not only show some new fan art, but I will also show some old fan art that I made. This drawing is based on the series Dragonball. It features Goku in his younger form. I've just gone back to reading the manga and it has made me laugh so much. The anime was shown on TV and I always tuned in whenever I came back from school. It was amazingly funny and surprisingly Goku was my favourite. There were times when he's very mischievous but always done what he thought was right. I was even surprised that he was just 12 years old too:

I hope to continue making fan art to show every Friday. It would be a cross over to most of the projects that I'll be working on I might continue this until February 2014. If I get this far, I will post up a review the ones that I done.  

Summer Story: Angie's Forward Flip 2/3

Hello Everyone, I hope you're all having a good week so far. I thought I'd share another two pages worth of the Summer Story: Angie's Forward Flip. As you can see here it has been inked in orange ink pens. I think you can probably guess the colour tone it would be in. It is in it's last stages and will be finished soon so please bear with me. Hmm... It seems that I should have take extra care when I was drawing...still never the less it still looks OK. I'm I love what I've done with these two so far.

The final images will be shown in it's greater glory and scanned to it's perfection when it's completed. I can't wait to show you all.

XXXholic Fan Art

Hello again, since I have a huge habit of creating fan art I thought I'd show you a fan art based on a Manga called XXXholic. It was created using pencils and watercolour paints. This is based on the last Tsubasa Resevior Chronicle fan art that I created in 2011 for a UK comic book artist. It has been an anime and also a drama, which was shown in Japan within the beginning of this year. ( I think?) I have been reading the manga since 2008 and I have loved it since. My favourite character is the main protagonist Kimihiro Watanuki. I have to admit I was a bit iffy about it at first but realizing that it was created by favourite Mangaka CLAMP, I gave in and read it. I was surprised by the mass amount of humour in the first volume that I decided read the rest. So far I need to read volumes 16 and 19 which is the last volume. I have heard that the series has continued this year but I chosen to wait until I've finished these two. It will indeed take a while but it will be worth it.

This fan art will be a gift to a friend of mine who is abroad right now and I hope to give this to her when she gets back. She has done a blog of her trip around south-east Asia and more.

Summer Story: Angie's Forward Flip! (^_^) 1/3

Hello Everyone, I hope you are having a great and decent time during the month of June. I thought I'd let you know that the continuation of the Winter Story, will in fact be a Summer Story. But it will be still be based on Angie, who it one of the close friends of Rae. It is still in the works but it will be finished very soon. There are about 24 small pages in total. I thought that I'll show you the first stage of sketches in 2B and HB pencils. Although a mass amount of smudges were made throughout the process, it didn't stop me from producing. (^_^ ) Here are two pages of different parts of the story. Enjoy:

I'm immensely pleased with these scenes that I had to show it to you.

I was also quite proud of these scenes too. I'm really looking forward to what it would look like in colour.

Mascot Characters for Memenda-Seven from Daily Sketches

Daily Sketches from Early Jan to April 2013

Hey Everyone! Since the next installment of the winter story is still within the works, I thought I'd show you a couple of sketches that I created from early January to late April. There's a possibly that I've made over 50 drawings so there will be some moments within the months were a lot of these will be posted. I will creating more for the next couple of months to get better in drawing. These sketches are based on people of whom I see everyday, of places and paintings of where I have been and of things that come to mind.
